The sales marathon concluded with the conclusion of the Tattersalls December Sales, during which Yearlings, Foals, and Mares were successfully sold over the span of two weeks.

And That's A Wrap...

We commenced the sales marathon by successfully selling 6 yearlings, achieving a total sales aggregate of 124,000gns, a sales average of 20,667gns, and a median of 20,000gns. The highlight of our offerings was a son of Kingman out of the G3-winning mare Lightening Quick, fetching 44,000gns and finding a new home with Tally-Ho Stud.

Transitioning to the Foal Sale, we sold 21 foals, attaining a total sales aggregate of 820,000gns, a sales average of 39,048gns, and a median of 20,000gns. The standout lot of the sale was an exquisite daughter of New Bay out of the Stakes-winning mare Do Re Mi Fa Sol, commanding a price of 205,000gns and being acquired by Alanood Althani.

Concluding with the Mares section of the sales, we successfully sold 26 fillies and mares, achieving a total sales aggregate of 1,047,000gns, a sales average of 40,269gns, and a median of 17,000gns. The top price went to Understated, a three-year-old Stakes-winning daughter of Nathaniel, fetching 210,000gns and finding a new home with Australian Bloodstock / Ronald Rauscher.

The Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale welcomed buyers from all over the world and new records were set in the sales history. The market was particularly unpredictable this year, and each consignment seemed to have both good luck and hard done by stories. This year’s sale saw a record 33 lots release 200,000gns or more. JRSA were lucky enough to sell two lots in that record breaking bracket.
